A reading with projections and original music from Ukrainian refugee and Fulbright Scholar Marta Gosovka and award-winning pianist and composer Uriel Pascucci. A portrait of exile. A fragile tapestry of longing, resilience, and love for Ukraine, a homeland left behind.

My Suitcase of Fragments is a performance project by Marta Gosovska, a Ukrainian writer, translator, publisher, PEN member, and refugee. One winter night four years ago, she left her home with a single suitcase and wandered across Europe, through Hungary, Austria, France, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, carrying her memories as her only constant.

Uriel Pascucci is a classical pianist and composer from Argentina, the end of the world. For My Suitcase of Fragments, he composed, performed, and recorded the piano album that accompanies the essay, translating displacement, memory, and tenderness into sound.
Blending heritage with a contemporary sensibility, his music moves through quiet emotional landscapes. His work has received international recognition, including the First Prize at the XVIII Piano Competition "City of Necochea" in Argentina, honors from the Global Music Awards (2024), and The Clouzine International Music Awards (2026).

Nadia is a Ukrainian artist, known for her distinctive, emotionally precise visual language. She has illustrated dozens of books for children and adults, and became widely recognized as the creator of the beloved comic character Gander.
For My Suitcase of Fragments, Nadia created the album cover, an original painting that now lives in someone’s home, a quiet symbol that we carry our home within us.
Nadia now lives in Canada with her husband and two children, continuing to create art that travels beyond borders.

An artist, restorer, and illustrator, she works at the intersection of visual art and art therapy, teaching children and students while supporting vulnerable communities through creative practice. Born in Lviv, she creates minimalist, emotionally charged works shaped by themes of memory, trauma, and resilience. For My Suitcase of Fragments, she contributed a visual piece that holds space for loss and continuity, a restrained image carrying deep, human weight.
